Jeff Molander of ReveNews says
that comparison shopping sites are partnering with Adware operators,
with the result that e-tailers are either paying for traffic that would have
been free or are losing sales. "Traffic is "stolen" from your URL", he
says, "... and then... if you want that user back.. you pay". Quick comment below.

Shopzilla Chief Product Officer Farhad Mohit claims that publicly-traded Shopping.com (ticker: SHOP) boosts its traffic by partnering with Adware operators. I've also pointed out
(see section 4 there) that Shopping.com is listed as a customer in Adware company Claria's
S-1.

Shopping.com is being acquired by eBay for $21 per share in cash
(ticker: EBAY).

    geez... I did not think they are that desperate. I work for a similar company in the comparison shopping industry.
